Can't wait to see if there is any coverage in the video (MSM) news on this one. I sure wish we'd hear more about this guy. Sounds like he was a true leader, tough on the men, but thorough, and loved them all til his own death did them part.

God bless.

can't say enough about guys like me

Like firemen rushing into a burning building while everyone else is rushing out

Or that new country song-- "not me"

What is the definition of courage, anyway?

I think it is knowing full well what could happen, what the danger is and doing what must be done anyway.

That is courage

I am really glad that you posted this and reminded me of SFC Smith. I was thinking about him and about how more people should know about him as I was falling asleep last night --

I love when I get to use the word honorable... it happens so rarely these days...

I saw the President giving the medal to the family yesterday, and that was on Fox. The Army has covered this but I remember when his exploits first came out-- MSM had negative stories about his wife saying, quite understandably, I don't want the meadl, I just want him back. A negative spin that tried to taint the heroism.

But little coverage other than that.

Why was there no follow on bankruptcy then? The bailout of AIG FP went to (wow power leveling) hedge funds that bound credit swaps on Lehman failing or others betting on rating (wow power leveling) declines. AIG has drained over 100 billion from the government. Which had to go to those who bet on failures and downgrades. Many of whom (power leveling)were hedge funds. I-banks that had offsetting swaps needed the money from the AIG bailout or they would have been caught. Its an (wow powerleveling) insiders game and it takes just a little bit too much time for most people to think (wow gold) through where the AIG 100 billion bailout money went to, hedge funds and players, many of whom hire from the top ranks of DOJ, Fed, Treasury, CAOBO
